Tier 2 Minister of Religion

Tier 2 Minister of Religion Visa Application

Many people come to the UK to work as a minister of religion or as missionaries with a job at a registered religious organisation. Similar to any other Tier 2 Visa, the religious worker must have a valid and confirmed job offer in the United Kingdom before applying for this visa. Further, the applicant must also have a Certificate of Sponsorship from their employer who has a valid Tier 2 sponsorship license.

Tier 2 Minister of Religion - What You Need to Know?

Here are some the basic things you need before applying for the Tier 2 Minister of Religion Visa:

  • Valid job offer
  • Certificate of Sponsorship from a religious organisation with a valid Tier 2 Sponsorship Licence.
  • Adequate funds to support yourself initially. The current requirement for funds is at least £945 for the last three months. If you are unable to demonstrate this, your Tier 2 sponsor can guarantee your maintenance with the Home Office, only if they are an ‘A rated’ sponsor. Although certain people, such as Jewish employees and work permit holders, may be exempt from this requirement.
